We were presented with plans not choices, and propaganda not neutrality

Projects

In reference to Doug Oakervee’s letter “The truth about HS2” (23 November, page 27), this was just not a consultation exercise. We were presented with plans not choices, guesses not data and propaganda not neutrality. We don’t know how loud the trains will be, how long our home will be subject to extensive local building works, what the effect of HS2 will be in the long term on our life savings (i.e. our homes). Mr Oakervee: why don’t you come down here and visit us personally?
