Trying to muscle in shows disrespect

Kier wanting to muscle in on the proposed merger between Costain and May Gurney makes a mockery of Kier’s business ethics (Costain vs Kier: The battle for May Gurney, 5 April, page 22). I quote: “Our vision is to be the most highly respected company in the industry, and this is dependent upon how all employees behave.

Our core values demand us to be enthusiastic, open and honest, and to be proactive, committed and safe. By fully complying with this Code of Conduct and by living our core values, our vision will become a reality.” Trying to muscle in shows disrespect. It is apparent May Gurney rebuffed Kier. Kier should do the decent thing and not bid.
