I read your article “How to juggle while balancing” (7 January, page 86) with interest and empathy, but was disappointed and surprised that you chose to take a somewhat outdated “chauvinistic” attitude and present flexible working arrangements as a female-only issue.

There are many men within construction that, like me, juggle their professional and personal lives while trying to achieve an acceptable balance between them. It would have been interesting to read about how their experiences compared with those of our female colleagues.
