What is your preferred means of communication?

Face-to-face. Telephones, emails and social networking will never have the same impact as being able to look someone in the eye. It’s part of the human condition that we need to understand one another’s body language.

Are you into social networking?

Yes. I use Twitter a bit to keep up with music and cycling, especially as the Tour de France is imminent!

Favourite digital gadget?

Does the “off” switch on my computer count as a digital gadget?

Blackberry or iphone?

Both sadly. Blackberry for work, iPhone for play.

Favourite app?

Songkick. It recommends nearby gigs based on the contents of your music library. And it’s free!

What is your favourite/worst website?

Favourite website is football365.com. Much better sports journalism than the BBC, despite being owned by Sky. I suppose my worst website would be one idolising Jeremy Clarkson, but I can’t say I’ve ever looked for such a thing.

What did you last buy online?

Birthday presents for my wife.

What’s top on your iPod?

Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer. Bringing chap-hop to the masses…

What’s your TV choice?

Wonders of the Universe. Although all that stuff about entropy was a bit depressing.

What is your worst digital habit?

Shouting at gadgets when they go wrong.
