CAFM programs are process oriented solutions which are not suited to BIM data

Putting BIM data in a computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) system is like putting a square peg in a round hole. CAFM programs are process oriented solutions which are not fundamentally suited to BIM data.

The solution for FM operations is a simplified BIM for FM where the architecture supports navigation through the building in the same way as BIM.
