Building’s new sustainability, regeneration and general construction message boards will allow users to chat, argue or just let off some steam

There are two exciting developments on www.building.co.uk this week. We now have the digital nous to allow users to post comments, pictures and videos on our brand new message forums, and we have launched a channel dedicated to regeneration.

The Building forum carries a range of message boards on which users will be able to discuss, argue or just show off.

There will be a general construction message board, where you can chew the cud over hot topics such as payment cuts, the 2012 Olympics and the state of the economy.

On the sustainability message board, users will be getting hot under the collar over such vexing issues as the roll-out of energy performance certificates and mandatory Code for Sustainable Homes requirements.

Building.co.uk will also be hosting housing and regeneration message boards to mark the launch of the Regenerate online channel. To kickstart the regeneration message board we will be posting an expert’s opinion on a new masterplan every week.

To mark the beginning of what we hope will be a fruitful exchange of opinions, we will be entering the first 50 people to post messages into a prize draw for an iPod Touch.

Regenerate online will offer the best of Regenerate magazine, as well as multimedia elements such as videos and live data.

There will also be a regular project video – this week we visit the groundbreaking Grove Village, Building’s PFI Project of the Year (pictured), to find out how a housing association and contractor worked with local residents to turn a no-go area into one of the most desirable addresses in east Manchester.
