Shepley Window Systems MD Gary Torr, has completed an exhausting journey as part of a team of 10 who cycled over 900 miles from John O’Groats to Lands End for charity. The journey was completed in 13 days and has so far raised in excess of £30,000 for Hope House Children’s Hospice for terminally ill children.
The event was organised by Gary Morton, GM fundraising, who set about recruiting a number of brave individuals to join him on this mammoth bike ride.
During the journey, riders toured the Hope House Hospice. Gary Torr commented, ‘The visit to Hope House was moving for all the riders, it’s hard to imagine what families have to endure when losing a child is inevitable. It made us even more determined to raise money to enable many more families to benefit from their amazing work’. All the riders agreed, it was a life changing experience.
