The Electrical Installation Equipment Manufacturers' Association (EIEMA) has extended its anti-counterfeit campaign to CD-Rom.
The Association's latest hard-hitting film 'Counterfeit kills' is now available free of charge on CD. Around 20 000 copies have already been distributed via the NICEIC. Sister trade association Gambica has also warned against the use of poor quality imported components. The Association is increasingly concerned about poor quality products from the Far East, Middle East and Europe reaching the UK market.
There have been no deaths to date, but instances of products failing prematurely have been reported.
