EIC has been awarded the electrical installation contract for two new-build office blocks at Blythe Business Park in Shirley, Birmingham, by contractor BAM Construction.

Work on the contract, valued at £670 000, was due to start in October 2008, with completion set for this May.

The two buildings are three-storey and four-storey. Installation work to both buildings is expected to include low-voltage distribution, earthing and bonding, small power, lighting and emergency lighting, lighting control with daylight dimming, external lighting, fire alarm, disabled alarm and disabled refuge systems, and lightning protection.

Work will also include testing and commissioning.
