Construction of the 15th Serpentine Pavilion in London’s Kensington Gardens has been taking place this month, ahead of its opening next week. It was designed by Spanish architect SelgasCano, engineered by Aecom, and constructed from tinted ETFE panels woven into and wrapped in webbing. Visitors will be able to walk through a “secret corridor” between the outer and inner layers of the double-skinned structure and into a colourfully glowing interior. The temporary pavilion will open on 25 June and remain open until 18 October.
