If rivers can be harnessed by dams as they flow through canyons, why not the winds funnelling above?

Architect Laurie Chetwood came up with this huge structure of “floating” wind turbines tethered to the valley walls. Chetwood says: “It could include turbines hanging in space, or a giant spinnaker that funnels the wind to ground-level turbines to generate electricity.” Can’t see it in the Peak District… China or South America maybe.
