Four contracts worth a total of £196.4m help Bovis Lend Lease to add to its lead in annual contractors' table.
Bovis Lend Lease has taken pole position in the February league with four contracts worth £196.4m, including a £45m London office development for Chelsfield.

A long way back in second place is Carillion, with four contracts worth £82m. January's leader Skanska slipped to fourth.

The big improvers for February were Sir Robert McAlpine, up 12 places to fifth, and YJL, which leaped from 26th place to 10th.

The annual contractors' table was static, with the same top 12 as last month. Bovis Lend Lease leads with 58 contracts worth £1.13bn.

HOK Sport retains its lead in the architects' table while J Sainsbury is still top in the clients' table, ahead of Land Securities and the Home Office.

How the tables work

To qualify for the tables, companies must have been identified on two or more projects fitting the criteria below in the past 12 months. Projects must:
  • be of precisely calculated or confirmed value
  • have reached the main contract stage
  • be valued at £1m or more
  • be in the UK.
Residential, civil engineering or overseas contracts are excluded. Student accommodation is included.
