Set designer Es Devlin, known for her kinetic illuminated stage sculptures used at the National Theatre and with performers such as Adele and Beyoncé, has lit up the V&A in London this Christmas with her latest installation, the Singing Tree.

Collating thousands of festive words contributed by the public, the Singing Tree will create an audiovisual carol, sung by an interactive choir of synthesised voices.
