UK's largest privately owned contractor tops the yearly and monthly tables with seven deals worth £127m.
Sir Robert McAlpine emphasised its domination of the market by taking top spot in the contractors league table for July to complement its domination of the yearly table.

McAlpine topped the monthly chart after winning work worth £127m. Its largest deal was a £40m contract for Falmouth College of Arts.

Balfour Beatty jumped from 13th to second, with 11 contracts worth £97.3m, closely followed by Shepherd Construction, which leaped from 15th to third place.

There was no change in the yearly table with McAlpine, Skanska and Kier holding on to the top three places. HOK International again won more work than any other architect in the UK and English Partnerships remained at the top of the clients table.
