More than £14bn worth of work has been dished out

At least £14bn of work across around 30 contracts has already been handed to construction firms by HS2

According to tables published to HS2’s website, 30 construction and railway signalling contracts were awarded to firms by the end of last month.

Among the firms to already have been handed work on the project are contractors including Balfour Beatty, Mace, Vinci and Skanska, as well as consultants Lendlease, Mott MacDonald and CH2M.
