The University of Leicester has announced a £300 million investment in a state-of-the art campus with enhanced facilities for teaching and accommodation.
Plans for the development have been drawn up by architects Shepheard Epstein Hunter.
The university has already begun work on a £20 million biomedical research building.
Work on the rest of the new development should start in 2003- 2004. This will include building a major library extension, upgrading, replacing and refurbishing existing accommodation and creating a new central core at the heart of the university.
