Spot on solutions for track lighting systems
JCC Lighting Products has added the 12 V HaloSpot III range to its Mains Track system. The halogen spot lamp is suitable for shop fitting applications and can be configured as one, two or four lamp options. The fitting incorporates an integral transformer and provides a flexible solution that produces a high output of light from a single point on the mains lighting track.

Available in white, black or silver finishes it is able to accommodate a range of lamps in a variety of wattages and beam angles. It can also achieve precise accenting by using a narrow lamp with a beam angle of 4°.

The company has also added a die-cast low voltage fitting for track systems. Available in white, black or silver finishes it incorporates a compact transformer to produce a discreet fitting.

Myriad of options
Concord:marlin has added a recessed adjustable projector to its Myriad range. Designed in conjunction with Lighting Design International the unit is suitable for projecting company names and logos, room numbers, directional indicators or lighting effects.

The projector requires a ceiling aperture of 75 mm and has 360° rotation. It comes with a choice of Iris or Fixed framing heads and coloured gel filters. Designed and supplied complete with a Sylvania 24° dichroic lamp the Myriad projector uses D size gobos and also has IP44 protection from below the ceiling.

Clear-lighted
La Conch has launched the D40 Sky pendant luminaire, incorporating two 39 W, 54 W or 80 W T5 fluorescent lamps. The unit's body is made of 30 mm thick polished methacrylate sheet, 360 mm wide and chamfered on all edges. It is completely transparent other than those areas housing the lamps and control gear, which are in an obscured matt finish.

Let there be daylight
Greenstock has introduced the Azura 1XX range of T8 fluorescent lamps which it claims can simulate daylight conditions. Suitable for a range of applications the full spectrum tubes have a colour temperature of 6500 K and a colour rendering index of 98%. Lamps have an average life of 17 500 hours and come in 18 W, 36 W and 58 W versions.

Smart exit from Bardic
Bardic has launched the LEDlite range of self-testing led illuminated emergency exit signs. The leds, with a combined power output of 5 VA, are moulded into the blade to maximise output and deliver light across the whole pictogram area.

Each unit has an integral micro-controller that is programmed to carry out tests at predetermined intervals in accordance with BS5266. The nature of faults is indicated by different colour leds while an audible alarm alerts staff to the location of a faulty sign.

Suits vdu sir
Thorn Lighting has introduced the MRG range of pendant and wall-mounted luminaires. Units are designed to be compatible with visual display units (vdu) and help lighting schemes achieve the illuminace ratios set out in the Lighting Guide 3 addendum. Each uplight uses T5 or TC-L fluorescent lamps operated from high frequency ballasts. Uplights are constructed from steel, and finished in powder-coated silver. The suspended pendant uplight also features a slotted diffuser delivering 5% downward light.
