Wessex Water HeadquartersNG Bailey was responsible for the £1.5 million mechanical installation of this prestigious project. Overall, the NG Bailey team had to meet the strict environmental requirements of the client, including installation of solar panels on the roof of the building. Sealed coils are used to power five chlorifiers as well as supplying all of the hot water, which must be kept above 45ºC, for the site. GSK House
GlaxoSmithKline's new £300 million headquarters building is located on a 5·4 hectare site in Brentford. WSP Group was m&e engineer (as well as structural), working on complex services requirements for a building where plant space was at a premium. Services brief required ultimate flexibility to accommodate an annual 30% churn rate, while utilising tried and tested technology. The client commented: "WSP is the best m&e engineer I have worked with" and in a recent client survey, benchmarked WSP as best in class. Magna Science Adventure Centre
Buro Happold Consulting Engineers worked to create an exciting visitor attraction from the giant former Templeborough Steelworks. Effectively a giant shed, the attraction consists of a number of pavilions which each provide an environment appropriate to one of the four elements earth, air, fire and water. Buro Happold worked with Corus and Yorkshire Electricity to enable a major mains reorganisation process.
