Square D, a brand of Schneider Electric, is enhancing its Domae and Qwikline range of consumer units

In the Domae range, the company has introduced a compact, dual-RCD unit for small dwellings and refurbishment projects. It features two RCD-protected busbars that both contain four MCBs, which means the installer can split the circuits to improve continuity of supply. If a circuit trips, only half the circuits in a house would be affected.

Upstairs sockets and lights could be on one busbar and the downstairs equivalents could be on the other.
