A new guide to construction project management is offering to help you save “immense” amounts of time and money. It presents tips on how to improve project delivery and efficiency.

The book, penned by a lecturer at the University of the West of England, aims to demonstrate how to weigh up the success of a project, understand your client’s business case and communicate across a broad professional team. It focuses on the managerial side of the job as opposed to the technical side, its author says.

Construction Project Management by Peter Fewings recommends a holistic approach to the job. The book considers collaboration, leadership, organisation, culture, communication, delegation, motivation and negotiation. It also examines relatively new forms of procurement, such as PFI.

The book is aimed at both practising project managers as well as students and has been published by Taylor & Francis.
