2:15PM Three promotions made following new business in Southeast

Cost consultant DBK Back has promoted three staff to director level one year after its management buyout. Senior project manager David Maude steps up to become regional director of the London office. In the Birmingham HQ Mike Woolley and David Browne have been promoted from senior project managers to associate directors. DBK said it made the appointments on the strength of winning £200m of new business since the MBO.

Maude said: "We have secured some major projects in London and the Southeast, such as the redevelopment of Farnborough town centre and Wembley town centre, which are both developments by St Modwen. We are also working on British Land's Oxford Retail Park project on Botley Road, close to the centre of the city."

Woolley and Browne will work in the development services department alongside Garrie Weatherley, who was promoted to an associate director 12 months ago. Woolley and Browne will run three newly created development services teams, which offer a mix of cost consultancy and project management services.

Woolley will continue to lead project management of the Arena Central scheme in Birmingham, a 7.6 acre mixed-use scheme. Woolley is also working on the Sports World International project in Shirebrook, Mansfield and an office development on George Road in Edgbaston for Calthorpe Estates.

Browne specialises in residential developments. He is undertaking the cost consultancy and project management role on Gallan Properties' Arcadian redevelopment. The scheme will transform a former cinema into 80 apartments with 2,500 sq ft of retail/restaurant space at street level and an enlarged car park. Browne is also working on the 'B91' £8.2m residential development for Miller Homes at 745 Warwick Road in Solihull, which will create 67 flats.

Tim Downing, managing director of DBK Back, said: "We have promoted a further two senior managers to associate directors to reward and acknowledge their leadership, teamwork, client management and business development since the MBO transaction took place. We are looking to make a number of new appointments, from graduate level to senior managers, to further boost this department, which is now headed up by three highly proficient associate directors."
