Fire alarm system installers are said to be able to save half the time and make a 25 per cent cost saving in installation with a new concept in manual call points from Smallwood, Redditch-based KAC.
The new EN54-11 standard in fire alarm systems allows for both break glass and re-settable elements to be used in MCPs. KAC’s new range can be used as either a break glass or re-settable device without fitting any additional components.
Switching from one to the other takes seconds. A ‘plug and play’ concept reduces install time. The system can be tested without the MCP unit itself in place. It does not need to be fitted until final commission, reducing chances of damage.
