Cardo buys Lanarkshire-based business for undsiclosed sum
Acquisitive housing maintenance specialist Cardo has bought another firm, this time snapping up Scottish business Trident Maintenance Services for an undisclosed sum.
Lanarkshire-based Trident provides building maintenance, refurbishment and improvement services across both England and Scotland.
In its last set of accounts for the year to March 2025, Trident posted an improved turnover of £18m and more than doubled pre-tax profit to £1.7m. It has just over 100 employees.

Cardo chief executive Liam Bevan said: “Trident expands our national capabilities, particularly in the north of England, and enhances our offering across Scotland while supporting our long-term strategy of investment in skilled local workforces and supply chains.”
Last year, Cardo, which is based in Cardiff, acquired parts of collapsed firm Breyer Group, which specialised in roofing, repair and refurbishment services, while it picked up Osborne’s property services business in September 2023.
In its last set of results for the year to February 2025, Cardo improved turnover 73% to £145m and saw pre-tax profit climb from £1.2m to just over £5m.
