Administrators at collapsed Ardmore firm recoup £3.5m from taxman

Administrators for Ardmore Construction Ltd have said they have recovered nearly £3.5m in overpayments from the taxman.

The firm went into administration last year ahead of several other Ardmore businesses going into administration this summer.

In an update for Ardmore Construction Ltd (ACL), administrators at BTG said they had “recovered £3.4m from HM Revenue & Customs which relates to overpayments and credits on the Company’s PAYE/NIC account with HMRC”.

HMRC is owed close to £148,000 by ACL which administrators said they expect to get back in full.

It again said unsecured creditors, which include trade creditors owed £3.4m, can also expect to get something back, adding: “The level of dividend is dependent on the final level of claims agreed and the treatment of contingent claims.”
