Metropolitan Thames Valley chief executive joins board of £2bn-turnover housebuilder

Affordable housing leader Geeta Nanda has been appointed to the board of £2bn-turnover Redrow.

Nanda, the chief executive of Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) and current chair of the G15 group of large London-based associations, will join the listed housebuilder in May and will sit on the housebuilder’s audit, remuneration, nomination and placemaking and sustainability committees.

Nanda has been chief executive of MTVH and predecessor organisation Thames Valley for 14 years in total.

She has also previously sat on the boards of later living housing specialist McCarthy Stone and homelessness charity St Mungo’s.

Nanda also oversaw the setting up of Fizzy Living in 2012, one of the first built-to-rent operators in the UK.

In September Redrow chief executive Matthew Pratt said the housebuilder was focusing on downsizers and cash buyers and looking in markets away from London to ride out the inflation crisis.
