Firm to hand permanent staff £1,000

Allies and Morrison has become the latest firm to say it is making a one-off cost of living payment with the practice handing permanent staff £1,000 in their next pay packets.

The architect, which will make the payment this week, becomes the first high-profile practice to announce the move which has seen several contractors including Bam, Skanska and Sisk all make similar payments in recent weeks.

Allies and Morrison said staff who have been with the firm for more than two months will be handed the cash.
