Iain McPherson succeeds John Anderson, who moves to non-exec post

Allison Homes has announced the appointment of Persimmon’s UK boss Iain McPherson as its new chief executive.

McPherson will succeed John Anderson, who moves into a non-executive position at Allison in September.

McPherson was previously chief executive of Countryside and has also worked for Sage Homes and Crest Nicholson. He is on the board of Town and Country Housing.

In an update today, Allison Homes said Anderson has “decided to step down and take on a non-executive role at this point to allow a smooth transition to new leadership”.

The Peterborough-based housebuilder in its last set of results for the 12 months to 30 September reported turnover of £212m, up 30% from £163m the year before. The group achieved a total of 808 completions during the year, up from 626 in the previous year.
