Apex Group snaps up Liverpool-based rival Bamford Roofing.

Roofing and cladding company Apex Group has acquired its regional rival Bamford Roofing.

The Liverpool-based company, which has been involved in the refurbishment of the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, has been sold to Apex by Kelpie Properties Group for an undisclosed amount.

Apex Group managing director, Ian Childs, said, “This is a strategic acquisition for us. Both companies have complementary offerings and similar clients. We were looking for a company with a strong reputation that would give us an increased presence in the North-West and we feel confident that this is what we have found in Bamford Roofing.”

He added, “Combined, the companies have over 40 years’ of roofing experience to offer the market.”

Apex, which was founded in 1972, operates across the UK with headquarters in Birmingham and offices in Southampton, Sheffield and Liverpool.
