Defence group will be integrated in Atkin's design and engineering business
Atkins has acquired independent defence consultancy Advantage Business Group for £19.4m.
Advantage will be integrated into Atkins’ design and engineering solutions business. The combined division will offer engineering and project management support to government and industry for defence projects.
Ivor Catto, managing director of Atkins’ design and engineering solutions business, said: “We are pleased to be able to combine the Advantage and Atkins capabilities to broaden our systems engineering skills and strengthen our through-life capability management in order to serve our customers better.”
Advantage employs approximately 180 staff, primarily from offices in Farnham and Bristol.
