Richard Gregory will retire as chief executive of Bam Construct on 1 April

He will be replaced by Graham Cash, the Dutch contractor’s south-eastern director, as part of wider changes at the £1.75bn-turnover group.

Cash is an architect by training, and worked for John S Bonnington Partnership and Arup Associates.

Meanwhile, Stephen Fox succeeds Martin Rogers as chief executive of civil engineer Bam Nuttall. In a statement the group said Rogers would now “concentrate on his Royal Bam Group executive board roles that include the UK and Ireland”.

Rogers said: “Bam continues to become more influential in the UK. We aim to continue our sound performance, although market conditions will remain challenging.”
