Ralph Jones joined company in 1978
Bowmer & Kirkland main board director Ralph Jones has stepped down, filings at Companies House show.
He was responsible for the firm’s commercial and residential property development and investment businesses.
In a statement, the firm said: “Ralph’s contribution to our business has been huge. He joined our business in 1978 as a quantity surveyor and later as a contracts manager drove the professionalisation of our construction business. In the 1980s he led our diversification into housing and property development.”

B&K said Jones, who stepped down at the end of last month, would continue to offer “his knowledge and expertise on a part time basis”.
In its last set of results, the firm said profit was up 11% to £76m in the year to August 2025 with income up 6% to £1.37bn.
Meanwhile, Caddick Construction has brought in B&K veteran Paul Sykes as managing director for its East Midlands business.
Sykes spent three decades at B&K and was appointed a regional director in 2021.
