British architect Michael Wilford & Partners has completed the £14m second phase of building material manufacturer Sto's production plant at Weizen in Germany's Black Forest. Dynamic forms and vivid colours resemble the famous original phase designed by Wilford and completed in 1997. The two buildings comprise a silo tower containing raw materials for pastes and plasters and a batching plant. The project teams included OTB as architect, with Wilford Schupp Architekten as executive architect, Ingenieurgruppe Flösser as structural engineer and Ingenieurbüro Manolla as services engineer.
