Oak House, East Hampshire
Architect: Stedman Blower Architects
Brickwork: F W Germans
Brickmaker: Dunton Brothers

Completely refurbished and enlarged by the addition of a two-storey wing, this grade II-listed country house in rural Hampshire includes substantial areas of English-bonded brickwork. The judges liked the massing and solidity of the new addition, the varied and competent detailing to the quoins, plinths and Lutyens-style chimney, and the overall high-quality feel.
