The DETR has launched a web site to promote best value for local government.
The best-value initiative is the government’s latest programme to help local authorities become better clients and help drive inefficiency out of the construction industry. It includes information on pilot projects and best-value legislation.
An interactive European Union procurement page will allow councils to complete their annual returns on contracts let via the Internet.
The site will be updated as information becomes available.
