Bristol City FC stadium gets green light

The government has given the go ahead to Bristol City FC’s new £60m stadium.

The announcement is a significant step forward for club.

Bristol City FC’s plan for the 30,000-seat stadium on greenbelt land at Ashton Vale received an 8-1 “minded to approve” verdict from the local council’s Planning Committee last month.

Consultant Capita Symonds is providing project management, cost management and CDMC services on the Populous-designed project.

The scheme is expected to be completed in 2012.
