Dodsworth has replaced Adrian Dobson, who held the managing director position since 2019 and is retiring after almost 23 years on the board.

Dave Saville has been appointed to take Dobson’s place at Wates as regional managing director for the north.

Saville has nearly three decades of experience in the industry, having previously worked for John Sisk & Sons and Laing O’Rourke.

He joined Wates in 2019 as regional director for the North-west, overseeing projects including the Sands Centre in Cumbria and AstraZeneca’s Macclesfield Campus.

Reporting to the firm’s managing director Mark Tant, Saville will lead its strategic plans in the North-west, Yorkshire and North-east.

Tant described Saville as one of the firm’s “most talented and trusted senior leaders”.
