Firm joins nine others working on housing association’s 15 year initiative
Cardo Group has been added to housing association L&Q’s nine-strong list of suppliers for its major works investment programme.
The £3bn initiative, which runs for 15 years, has already improved more than 21,000 homes since it was launched in 2023 and is part of L&Q’s focus on improving existing stock and slowing down the amount of new build it carries out.

Cardo, which has bought up a string of firms in recent years, will deliver a range of planned maintenance and retrofit works, with initial projects focused on fire remediation.
Other firms on L&Q’s list include Amber Construction Services, Durkan Regen, Kier Places and Morgan Sindall Property Services.
Meanwhile, Tower Hamlets council in east London is set to fire the starting gun on a £500m major works programme covering housing upgrades, fire safety and refurbishment across its estate over the next decade.
Procurement is expected to start this summer with the four year deal beginning in October 2027.
