Brian Duckworth becomes temporary non-executive chairman and Paul Hamer chief executive in board reshuffle

Consultant White Young Green has announced a series of board changes in a stock exchange notice.

Peter Wood will step down as chairman of the engineering and environmental consulting group and leave the board on 31 March 2009, citing personal and family reasons.

Until a long-term appointment is made, Brian Duckworth, a non-executive director of the group since 2005, will assume the role of non-executive chairman from 1 April.

Group managing director Paul Hamer becomes chief executive officer with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, Bob Hartley has notified the board of his intention to resign as services director, and will leave the group on 30 June. The group is in the process of recruiting for a successor.
