Cleveland notches up another two victories over Australian contractor in Wembley dispute

Steel contractor Cleveland Bridge has been awarded £500,000 by adjudicators, the third and fourth awards against Multiplex it has received in less than a month.

Cleveland Bridge, which was thrown off of the Wembley Stadium project in July, has already received £2 million from main contractor Multiplex after the previous two rulings. A fifth adjudication result is expected next week.

Multiplex served a writ on its former sub-contractor in October, claiming that it was owed £14 million. Cleveland responded in kind, claiming £21 million. Both writs were formally lodged at the High Court last month.
