Steel contractor is awarded £2,274,000 in final adjudication against Multiplex bringing the total award to £4.75m.

The final whistle has blown on the match between Cleveland Bridge and Multiplex, with the steel contractor scoring a decisive victory after adjudicators found in its favour in the fifth and final of this stage of the process. The latest award of £2,274,000 brings the total paid to the Darlington-based firm to more than £4.75 million.

The two firms have been locked in a contractual dispute ever since Cleveland pulled out of the Wembley Stadium project, where Multiplex is the main contractor. The case will now go to the Court of Technology and Construction, a subsidiary of the High Court.
