Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies has launched the Compact Operator for sliding doors

The Compact Operator is a self-contained electro-mechanical drive unit, which the company says can be used on new and existing sliding doors and is suitable for most commercial architectural systems.

The operator is manufactured in extruded aluminium, and has a height of 10.5cm and projection of 13cm. The unit comes with a secure digital keypad and has various built-in safety features and operating modes such as one-way traffic control.
