Plans to redevelop area around station due to be sent in next year

A public consultation on plans to redevelop the Euston area of London is set to begin next weekend.

The newly established Euston Delivery Company is behind the plan which promises “a vibrant community with streets lined with workplaces, shops, cafes and restaurants”.

Australian developer is bringing forward regeneration plans for the area and is planning a series of community engagements in the next few weeks ahead of a planning application going in next year.

The area set to be redeveloped includes the existing mainline station as well as the planned HS2 station next door

The masterplan also proposes 1,5000 homes and a series of cycle routes.

The Euston Delivery Company, which replaced The Euston Partnership in April, is the government’s co-ordinating body bringing together key partners, including Network Rail and Transport for London, to deliver an integrated transport gateway that will include an overhauled Euston mainline station as well as a new HS2 station.

Lendlease is leading the masterplan and earlier this week, the firm said it had set up a joint venture development management company with The Crown Estate called the Impact Partnership Joint Venture, that will work on several schemes including Euston.
