Indian builder Larsen & Toubro due to finish work in 2019
Indian contractor Larsen & Toubro has been appointed main contractor on the scheme to build the 40,000 seater Al Rayyan Stadium in Qatar.
The stadium has been designed by UK architect Pattern Design while other UK firm working on the project include Ramboll and Pascall & Watson which is carrying out work on an associated precinct.
Construction is expected to complete in 2019 and following the 2022 World Cup, the stadium will be turned into a 20,000 seat ground for the Al Rayyan Sports Club – the Qatar Stars League Champions
The stadium will host a number of games up to the quarter finals of the 2022 tournament.
