Contractors Shepherd, Mansell and Mowlem are among 14 companies that have been awarded a £300m framework deal to refurbish up to 750 job centres
The three-year deal will be divided up on a loosely regional basis, with roughly 250 job centres a year set to be revamped. The value of the deals is estimated at £400,000 a centre, the average in pilot schemes.

The client, the Department for Work and Pensions, has yet to decide how many projects each contractor will be awarded.

The other companies that have been awarded the framework deal are Midas Property Services, David McLean, Interserve, Styles & Wood, Willmott Dixon, ROK, Overbury, Bowmer & Kirkland, Banner, Jarvis Newman and Longcross.
