£75m framework runs for five years

Costain has been awarded a new £75m framework contract to continue providing project controls services at EDF’s eight UK nuclear power stations for another five years.

The pair have been working together since 2017, when Costain was named on EDF’s Project Controls Resources Framework to support the safe operation, plant life extension, and preparations for the defueling and decommissioning of EDF’s UK nuclear power stations.

The award of the latest contract is the third time the partnership has been extended and will take the two firms through to 2030.

Costain manages more than 400 projects on the framework.
