Contract among four to be appointed to carry out structural work cross the capital

Costain announced today that it was one of four firms appointed to Transport for London’s £200m framework for structural work.

The Early Contractor Involvement and Construction framework starts immediately and lasts for four years.

The firm is already working on the £60m strengthening of the Hammersmith Flyover as part of the framework.

The other firms on the framework are understood to be Skanska, BAM Nuttal and Hochtief.

Andrew Wyllie, chief executive of Costain, said: “This award further enhances Costain’s reputation for innovation and engineering expertise across the whole life cycle of an infrastructure asset, as well as our recognised commitment to providing our customers with certainty of delivery and cost within a collaborative working approach.”
