Prada's Epicenter store, designed by Herzog & de Meuron, opened its doors for the first time on 7 June in Tokyo. The building's facade is a glass-panelled grille of diamond shapes. Inside, the display surfaces were designed to integrate with the crystalline architecture. Structural engineering was by Takenaka Corporation and WGG Schnetzer Puskas, mechanical engineering by Waldhauser Engineering and Takenaka Corporation, which was also the main contractor.
