Nottingham-firm more than doubles pre-tax profit
Clegg Construction has reported a 9.7% drop in turnover following planning delays to several projects.
The Nottingham-based firm, in its accounts, reported turnover of £76.6m for the year to 31 December, down on the £84.9m it reported the previous year.
The firm said the drop was due to commencements on site behind held up.
It said: “These projects are now on site and contributing to a significantly better performance in 2026 which will see turnover exceed £100m for the first time on record.”
The firm however more than doubled its pre tax profit from £176,000 to £358,000, driven by an £80,000 research and development tax credit in the year.
