A consortium has been launched to bid for healthcare projects that fall under Procure 21, NHS Estates' new prime contracting policy.
The Medicor consortium, which includes QS Davis Langdon & Everest, was launched last week.

It will target the small-scale NHS building work in Procure 21, which deals with work valued at £1-20m, below the PFI threshold.

Spokesman Mike Langhorn said the consortium had been under development for a number of months.

He said: "Our aim will be to deliver best value to the NHS by deploying a team focused on health needs. This will ensure design quality is balanced with the drive for thorough life-cost efficiency."

The consortium also comprises contractor Pearce Health, designer Parsons Brinckerhoff, building services specialist MJN Colston, facilities manager Integral and adviser PPP Group.
