Architectural and sculptural designer Gerry Judah designed this giant wall display for last weekend's Festival of Speed at Goodwood, Sussex. Three Ford GT40 racers, famous for winning first, second and third prizes at Le Mans in 1966, were hung from a 36 m high, 28 m wide structure built out of prefabricated steel trusses and polycarbonate sheets. The cladding weighed 15 tonnes and the structural steelwork 40 tonnes. Structural engineering was by Dewhurst McFarland & Partners.
